Shiva Trilogy by Amish

I thought of sharing my opinion about the latest book I read and this blog is a tribute to Lord Shiva,my favourite God for blessing me so abundantly, far beyond what I deserve....

As the title says,it is the series by Amish Tripathi,a Mumbai-based author.

We all know Lord Shiva! The Mahadev. The God of Gods,The Destroyer of Evil,One of the Trio,Consumate Dancer,Passionate lover,A quick wit accompanied by an equally quick and fearsome temper. All powerful and yet incorruptible..

But Amish has characterised Lord Shiva as a man who lived thousands of years back in India and rose to be The Mahadev,God of Gods due to his karma.....
The series consist of three books, namely:

    1.The Immortals Of Meluha
    2.The Secret Of The Nagas
    3.The Oath Of The Vayuputras

The story takes place in 1900.B.C in Meluha-a near perfect empire created by Lord Ram which modern indians call the Indus Valley Civilisation. This once proud empire and its Suryavanshi rulers face several perils as its primary river Saraswati is dying to extinction. They also face terrorist attacks from Chandravanshi and The Nagas(an ostracised and sinister race of deformed humans with astonishing martial skills) who appeared to have allied with Chandravanshis...

The only hope for Suryavanshis and people of India is an ancient legend:"When evil reaches epic proportions, when all seems lost, when it appears that your enemies have triumphed,a Neelkanth(one with the blue throat) will emerge"...
Drawn suddenly to his destiny,by duty as well as love,Shiva-a Tibetian tribe chief emerge to fight and destroy evil..

An interesting journey of a warrior who is turned into a God by his followers because of his deeds and war against the evil is explained beautifully in the three books and is sure to get the readers full attention. These books focuses on philosophy, religion and the never ending battle between the good and the evil.

It is the brilliant retelling of 'Shivapurana' in the most modern and exciting way and gives a refreshing and soul satisfying read.....

A very exciting and bestseller novel I found after The Harry Potter and The Da Vinci Code....

12 Year Indian Girl Has Higher IQ than Einstein

A 12-year-old Indian-origin girl in UK has stunned everyone after she scored an incredible 162 on her IQ test - even higher than Einstein and Stephen Hawking.

Neha Ramu, daughter of an Indian doctor couple, achieved a score of 162 on a Mensa IQ test - the highest score possible for her age.

The score puts the tween in the top one per cent of brightest people in the UK and means she is more intelligent than physicist Hawking, Microsoft founder Bill Gates and scientist Albert Einstein, who are all thought to have an IQ of 160.

Neha's parents lived in India before moving to Britain when their daughter was seven, 'The Telegraph' reported.

Only when she took an entrance exam for her school, achieving a perfect score of 280/280, that they realised her potential. She took the test for Mensa, a society for people with high IQs, two years later, and achieved the maximum possible score for someone aged under 18.

"Neha scored 162 on the Cattell IIIB test, putting her within the top one per cent of people in the country," a spokesman for British Mensa said.

Neha plans to follow her parents' footsteps into a career in medicine. She has already set her sight on a place at Harvard after taking her SATs - the American equivalent of A-levels - and achieved a score of 740 out of 800 in a test designed for 18-year-olds.

Einstein never took an IQ test as none of the modern intelligence tests existed when he was alive, but experts believe he had an IQ of around 160.

The Start

I have always wanted to become a writer as "The Pen is Mightier Than The Sword". There is nothing in the world that can be changed by the power of words.

So I decided to "Start" my blogging wondering what name I shall choose for my blog and decided to have a unique name. That's why I have named my bog "abhayaxiom", in which the suffix "-axiom" means "principles". All that you will find here is my viewpoint about the world, people and interest around me.

Thanking God for this wonderful world and its people, I start my blogging!

Malala :The Girl Who Fought For Her Dream

Atlast her dream came true in Britain. She described starting at the city's Edgbaston High School for Girls as "the most important day" of her life.

She said: "I think it is the happiest moment that I'm going back to school, this is what I dreamed, that all children should be able to go to school because it is their basic right.

"I am so proud to wear the uniform because it proves I am a student and that I am living my life and learning."
Malala is in year nine and will start her GCSE curriculum next year.

For those who dont know about her,a small explanation:
Malala Yousafzai(15),the schoolgirl from Pakistan was shot by Taliban terrorist in October near her home for campaigning in support of female education, before being flown to the UK for life-saving surgery.

When Swat Valley(her home) was under Taliban terrorist, they opposed girls education and burnt down schools.During that time Malala inspired girls to continue their education and blogged in BBC about the atrocities in Taliban.Hence she become the enemy of Taliban and had to take a bullet to her head..Surgeons in Pakistan removed a bullet from Malala's head after she was shot returning home from school in the Swat valley and was flown to Birmingham's Queen Elizabeth Hospital for further treatment. The teenager was discharged from the hospital last month to continue her rehabilitation, after having a titanium plate and cochlear implant fitted
Pakisthan government gave her bravery award and made arrangements for permanent residence in UK..She achieved her dream there and has started living it.

Her name has also been suggested for this years Nobel Prize for Peace....

A girl from whom all should learn and be inspired, wishing her all the best for future,i conclude..
